Spc. Richard Anthony Smith of Grand Prarie, Texas, shown here with his wife, Amber, who is pregnant with their child. He was killed December 31, 2006 by an improvised explosive device while on combat patrol in Baqubah, Iraq. Richard Smith was twenty years old. Their son is due in May.
